As a denture user, several restrictions have been placed upon me. The first is consumption of hard foods, like nuts and hard candy that may break the denture. Also, eating hard foods also break into small, hard particulates that wedge themselves inside dentures. These cause pain and prevent proper consumption of foods. These often force the person to clean their dentures externally, which can be embarrassing in certain circumstances. Otherwise, the pain lingers until the offending particles are removed. The texture and general experience of food is also affected. This is especially evident for people with full dentures. Eating fish is also affected. Fish has small, sharp bones that are easily detectable by the gums. Dentures interfere with this detection, and can sometimes allow involuntary ingestion of such bones, causing pain and discomfort. Thus, in my opinion, dental implants are better in the long run. However, they can be expensive and painful.

Avoidance of tooth loss through good dental hygiene is best, especially when using dental floss. Frequent visits to a good dentist, like a dentist liverpool in England, are better for preventive action and early detection of dental problems.
