Cars in 2010
Most modern cars have fuel efficiency considered in its design. This is good, considering the rising cost of fuel and the looming threat of ecological problems due to fuel consumption. Alternative fuel and power systems are rapidly coming of age and show good signs for the future. The main drawback with alternative fuel systems is the lack of power such engines deliver. Also, most of these systems are still electric and therefore battery based which, in the long run, can still provide ecological problems based on decaying batteries. Thus, people still opt for standard fueled cars, waiting for better options.
The honda cr-v is a cross-over design that has a roomy interior that can allow seven to eight passengers. This is not available with standard car designs, like the ford fusion. However, in terms of power the ford fusion has an advantage and this translates to speed that some people desire in a car. The chevy cobalt on the other hand features good fuel economy which translates to money savings and better ecological profile. Thus, of these three cars, the chevy cobalt is the greenest. After all, in today’s traffic situation, speed is rarely a benefit and actually consumes more fuel. Thus functional features like carrying or passenger capacity can be of better benefit.
